Carrot is the healthiest vegetable, can be used in varieties of dishes like dosa, paratha, sabzi, salad, rice, kheer etc.. given a tadka to the grated carrots can make it a quick koshimbhir. I use carrots in as many possible dishes like adding it to normal chapati, raw carrots salad, koshimbhir, dosa etc.. Here I am going to explain the easier way of preparing instant dosa using carrots. This can be a quick breakfast option on a lazy weekend morning. You need a nonstick pan for this.

Instant Ragi Dosa Recipe
I have already shared different varieties of dosa recipes like tomato, wheat, spinach, rava, wheat Dosa etc.. Ragi / finger millet dosa is also a instant and quick option for the lazy weekend breakfast. The procedure is almost similar to wheat dosa / rava dosa ,you need not have to soak the batter overnight. You will get good texture for dosas if you use non stick pan, the gas should be set on high flame and pour the batter. Or else you can cut half the onion , apply oil on the pan and rub the pan surface with the onion.

Palak Plain Dosa
Palak (Spinach) Dosa is one healthy breakfast option, instead of a regular plain Dosa. Adding Spinach to the regular dosa batter will make it rich in ironand vitamins. Palak dosa can be prepared in many ways like the one I have explained here by adding palak extract to the dosa batter / add palak sabzi along with boiled potato or paneer and spread it over the dosa / fry the spinach and add it in the dosa batter and prepare it like uttapam. Near to our house in Bangalore near the park a person serves 100 varieties of dosas, I love the sabzi that he prepares using palak, potato and cheese. It simply melts in the mouth. We will see below the simple way of preparing plain palak dosa by adding spinach extract to the dosa batter.

Tomato Dosa
Tomato Dosa is a slight variation to the usual dosa that we prepare. This is a good option to make your kid benefited with the goodness of tomatoes along with the rice that we use for making dosas. My mom usually prepares instant dosa using wheat flour, gram flour, all purpose flour and joward flour by adding chopped veggies to it. For this I usually add chopped tomatoes/ grind the tomatoes and then add the juice to the usual dosa batter.

Wheat Dosa
I was bored with the usual breakfast routine yet needed something different so was looking for instant item which I can prepare without any prior preparations and thus came across wheat dosa from one of my friend. Its simple, easy, less time consuming and a healthy item. We know to prepare chapatis out of wheat flour, dosa!! sounds different and in taste as well! It is similar to the Rava Dosa recipe that I posted earlier we can omit onions. I tried both the ways adding little onions at the end to the batter and it tasted well as well. We need not soak the batter for long time, its direct procedure, mix well and make dosas. We will see below the steps on how it can be prepared.

Rava Dosa
If you are tempted to have dosa and you have forgot to soak the ingredients for batter the previous night neither you do not want to wait until the next morning, then rava dosa is the choice you have which can be prepared
instantly within half an hour to 45 mins. This is the most crispiest form of Dosa available in most of the south Indian restaurants. I used to wonder how would the dosa be possible without urad dal. First time I had it when I was in Mangalore and liked it very much. This dosa is very good for the people who are on diet ;) Somehow I managed to get the proper steps for this recipe from the internet sources and when tried for the first time it came out very well :) I am glad that my husband and my kid liked it a lot and he asks me to prepare it very frequently. Hope you also try and like this.
